Martin Freeman, who plays the role of Bilbo Baggins in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," answered some of the questions of the fans of the franchise about the movie trilogy. The movie is slated to be released on Dec 26, 2014 in Australia and on December 17 in the U.S.

Martin Freeman answered the fans' questions that ranged from the role the actor would like to play, other than Bilbo, to the character with the best beard in the movie trilogy. The actor answered all the questions candidly in a question and answer session on Facebook.

Gandalf is the one role that interests Martin Freeman. However, the actor conceded that he may not be able to match the performance of Ian McKellen, who plays the role in the movies. Responding to a question about the character with the best beard in the movie, he said that the dwarf Nori had the best beard but also said that all the dwarves have good-looking beards.

One of the fans asked the actor if he knew that there was fandom for his middle finger. The actor said that he didn't know about it but wasn't surprised. Apparently, the actor has had some fans that have always enjoyed him showing his middle finger. The actor has been photographed several times on the movie sets showing the middle finger to the cameras for fun.

The three things the producers of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" allowed Martin Freeman to keep from the movie was the sword of Bilbo Baggins, the contract with the dwarves that he signed before joining the quest and the dressing gown. When asked to describe the character Bilbo Baggins in three words, the actor said, "Short. Sexy. Hard." He also said the character's favourite food may be ham, since he is old-fashioned, but the actor likes Italian cuisine. He said that Bilbo would probably listen to old English madrigals from the 15th century.

Talking about what it was like filming with Peter Jackson, the director of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," Martin Freeman said that he had a great working relationship with the director and said that they both understood each other. He also said that the director was a bit of a prankster at the set.
