‘The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies’ New Trailer Shows Bats Of War [Watch Video]
The new trailer of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" has finally arrived. The trailer features more creatures and provides an insight into the conflicts that viewers can expect in the movie. The change in Thorin's heart is also hinted in the trailer. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]
The Elves may not be fighting alongside the dwarves against the orcs in the beginning. The trailer of "The Hobbit" The Battle of Five Armies" shows that Thranduil will march on the Lonely Mountain with his army to reclaim something that belongs to him. He is accompanied by Brad.
Thranduil, however, does not know about the orc army sent by Sauron to attack the Lonely Mountain. Will the Elves be forced to fight the orcs in an unplanned battle? Thorin may wish to take advantage if such a situation arises. One of the dwarves, Kili, can be seen in the trailer telling Thorin that he will not hide while others fight their battles for them.
The main focus of the trailer has been on Thorin. Bilbo seems to have accused Thorin of changing, and this is later confirmed by Dwalin. Brad charges Thorin of bringing ruin and death to his fellow dwarves. The dwarves were able to drive out the dragon Smaug in the previous movie. The devastation the dragon will unleash on Brad's town can be seen in the trailer.
"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" will feature a new set of creatures. Legolas discovers the bats of war that have been bred for the single purpose of waging war. Meanwhile, Gandalf is busy trying to unite the forces against Sauron's army.
Fans of the franchise got a clear glimpse of Sauron in the trailer. Saruman promises to take care of the mighty villain in the movie. Elrond and the others discover Sauron's lair and realise the threat they are facing, one that Gandalf had been warning his camp about for a long time.
Will Thorin's greed for gold be his undoing? Will he keep his promises? The orcs may have the upper hand if the dwarves and the elves weaken each other through fighting and Smaug destroys the armies of men in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the five Armies."
