The producers of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" have released two new images for the fans. The first is that of Thranduil, the king of the Woodland Elves, and the second image is that of Thorin, the new king under the mountain. [Warning: Spoiler Alert!]

The first image is that of Lee Pace playing the role of Thranduil in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Kings." Commenting on the image, the fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming movie and some fans remarked that no other actor could portray the character better. The character is one of the fan favourites, with many fans complimenting the actor for his good looks.

The caption for the picture states that the king of the Woodland Elves has come to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim something that belongs to him. Thorin, however, may not be willing to part with anything from his home. Thranduil's army is seen attacking the Lonely Mountain in the trailer.

The second image is that of Thorin walking in the halls of the Lonely Mountain. Some of the fans complimented the producers for making such a tall actor appear as a dwarf in the movie. Some of the fans also revealed a few major spoilers in the comments that include the deaths of important characters.

Thorin is the new king under the mountain in "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." This is a position once held by his grandfather. Now that he finally gets the throne, it may change him to an extent that even his followers will start to question him.

The caption for the image says, "He cannot see what he has become." Thorin will be affected by the same dragon-sickness that had affected his grandfather. His greed for gold may push him to take decisions that may not be in the interest of his race of the people of Middle-earth.

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" is slated to be released on Dec. 26, 2014 in Australia. Some of the countries in Europe like France and Germany will be able to watch the movie much earlier as it will be released on Dec. 10 in some of the countries. The upcoming movie is one of the most anticipated of the year.
