2013 has come to a close and welcomes 2014 with open arms embracing the myriads of surprises for this year. The past year was an eventful year in the music industry with Beyonce's album launching, Justin Bieber's meltdown and Miley Cyrus' shocking transformations.

In the past 12 months, we've seen good girls gone wild. A perfect example was Selena Gomez as she tries to heal her broken heart from a very public breakup with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. New releases from Jay Z, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Kanye West are making headlines, along with the twerking phenomenon.

Here's are the list of Hollywood predictions for 2014:

Miley Cyrus - According to psychic Barbara Mackey, Cyrus will set 2014 on fire with a quickie wedding and divorce. A possible "Playboy" spread is going to make Miley the talk of the town. According to zap2it.com, the singer/actress will neither have a meltdown or she will go to rehab. Rapper 50 Cent also made his predictions about Miley: "She's going to be the shit, watch."

Lady Gaga - This fiery singer is going to have the best year. She is the first true superstar of the social media generation and she's going to take the world by storm. 2014 will only prove that she will have close to 100 million flowers between Twitter and Facebook, a huge fan base that will help her sell more albums despite the critical response to her album.

Justin Bieber - The young pop star will finally retire and this is not a joke. The retirement will last less than a year, according to creators.com. But his return to the music business will be heralded and all Beliebers will be excited about it.

Bryan Cranston - The "Breaking Bad" star will receive his fourth Emmy from the TV series who made his the notorious "Heisenberg," a chemistry teacher turned drug kingpin.

Jennifer Lawrence - The "Hunger Games" star will have another Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for "American Hustle" but will lose the Oprah Winfrey ("The Butler").

"Zap2it" Predictions

"Vampire Diaries" will kill off a main character (because, duh).

Hamsters will surpass cats as the internet's favorite animal.

People will continue to die on "Downtown Abbey."

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton will realize their "flirty open agreement" is ridiculous and will get divorced.

With "Anger Management" nearing the end of its 100-episode order, Charlie Sheen will publicly go bananas again. Someone will still hire him after that.

The series finale of "How I Met Your Mother" will be this year's most divisive final episode.

Following the successful return to the Golden Globes, every award show ever will try to get Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to host.
