Is the George Clooney-Stacy Keibler romantic dream over?

The couple has been dating for more than a year now but a recent report in the United Kingdom's Sun newspaper suggested that the Hollywood couple had split up for good. The "Descendants" actor, who began dating the former WWE wrestler in July 2011, was said to have called time-off on his romance after spending the summer with Stacy Keibler at his home in Lake Como, Italy. However, actor George Clooney's representative was quick to deny the break-up rumors.

"A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true. Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers," Clooney's representative said on a statement told to E!News.

According to reports, the split rumors started when former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler told her friends that their relationship was over.

"She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married. Stacy hoped they would be together long-term. It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks George has pulled away from her," a source shared.

The couple certainly spent an enjoyable summer together on a holiday vacation at George Clooney's Italian home in Lake Como before travelling around Europe. "The Sun" newspaper's story may have initiated from the fact the Stacy Keibler appeared by herself at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

Britain's "The Sun" newspaper also reportedly claimed that the reason why the 51-year old "Ocean's Eleven" actor was pulling away from the 32-year old blonde beauty Keibler is for the reason that he got cold feet again about settling down for good. However, the representative for Clooney has now spoken out to set the record straight that these rumors are not true.
