Before "Hannah Montana" actress Miley Cyrus and "The Hunger Games" Australian actor Liam Hemswroth got engaged, the young couple had their share of ups and downs in their relationship just like any other regular couple.

The 19-year old Disney star recently admitted that growing up has never been easy and her refusal to do so has put her relationship with the 22-year old Liam Hemsworth at risk.

There is no denying that Miley Cyrus is a certified wild child and she also could not help falling in-love with Liam Hemsworth when she met and worked with the handsome actor on their film "The Last Song."

The two started dating in 2009 but Miley Cyrus was not so sure that time if she was ready to settle down so Liam Hemsworth had to be an extremely patient man to put up with his girl. Cyrus and Hemsworth broke up in 2010 but the couple eventually got back together the following year.

Miley Cyrus recently revealed the reason why she and Liam Hemsworth broke up during a Marie Claire interview. It turns out that Miley Cyrus still had some growing up to do with the three-year age difference between them.

"Liam and I have a really good relationship. It took breaking up once or twice because I was young and immature and wanted to do things I hadn't yet gotten to do. He was older so it was like he'd already been through school. At some point you realize these people you're hanging out with are your 'party friends' that they're not going to give a s**t about you in 10 years. Then you remember who you really want around you," Miley Cyrus said.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus may have already matured a bit after deciding to have a long engagement with her fiancé. This way they can call the engagement off before their marriage license start to make things messy between them. The engaged couple reportedly revealed that they are not in a rush to the altar.

Fans are definitely hoping that the young couple does not ever feel the need to break up again. However, Miley Cyrus' recent behavior might leave some of her fans wondering if she is now mature enough to get married. Is Miley Cyrus' current behavior an indication that she is still not ready for a serious relationship? Will Liam Hemsworth be patient enough to stick around until Miley Cyrus grows up and finally decides to settle down?
