Hollywood News: Rapper Lil Wayne Found Dead Swirling In Internet - True Or Just Another Celebrity Hoax?
The death of American Rapper Lil Wayne has been circulating around the Internet for the past few days, prompting speculation and debates among netizens on social networking sites.
Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., probably the most influential rapper in the U.S., has been a victim of numerous celebrity death hoaxes. However, even a single one of these rumors was true.
On Monday, a suspicious video caught the attention of Facebook users as it allegedly documented the death of Lil Wayne. The video, which can be only seen when shared, had certainly intrigued some users who were curious if the Grammy-Award winning rapper has died.
Entertainment and Urban news Web site Inquisitr first reported Lil Wayne's alleged death. Here an excerpt of the report:
"The latest report comes from Facebook, with a video circulating that reads "RIP Rapper Lil Wayne Found Dead." It is difficult to find the source of this newest rumor, though the video does prompt users to share it on Facebook before they can view it. In the past, this has been the template for viruses aimed at gaining users personal information," Inquistr reported.
"The rapper has been the center of a number of other fake death reports, including one in the spring of this year and again in the summer," the publication added.
Earlier this year, Lil Wayne was reportedly on the brink of his death due to continuous seizure. Other sources claimed the rapper had a drug overdose, but he stressed epilepsy was the main reason of his near-death experience.
"The thing is, man, the bad news is, I'm an epileptic, so I'm prone to seizures," Wayne said in a radio interview via TMZ. "This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures; y'all just never hear about it. This time it got real bad because I got three of 'em in a row, and on the third one, my heart rate went down to, like, 30 percent."
"Basically, I could've died soon. That's why it was so serious. The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That's typical me, though," he added.
