Back to the Bay reports that Tuesday’s episode also centres on another cheating scandal, this time concerning Tori’s ex-boyfriend, Riley. She wants to give their relationship another shot, but she’s having a difficult time forgetting what he did before. Matt, on the other hand, feels compelled to leave Summer Bay to be with Evie, who receives a huge career opportunity.
Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Feb. 28 episode on its official website. In the trailer, Brody warns Riley not to hurt his sister again, while Justin cautions Tori that even though she’s a smart woman, she can still be played. Riley surprises Tori when he suggests moving to the city. Olivia also figures in the scene as she complains to Hunter that it’s difficult not being friends with him. Hunter, however, tells her to leave him alone.
“Home and Away” recap
In the previous episode, VJ learned that John is the arsonist and blamed the old man for Billie’s death. VJ wasted no time sharing this information to Ash, who stormed to the hospital to confront John. Thankfully, Kat arrived before things got worse. When Ash left to cool down, Kat revealed to John and Marilyn that they he’s the prime suspect for the series of fires in Summer Bay. John vehemently denied the accusation, saying he couldn’t be the arsonist since he was home with Marilyn the whole night.
Unfortunately, both of them can’t remember for sure if John really was at the house. When Kat asked him what he remembers about the fire at the music festival, John also drew a blank. Nate informed them that his tumour can cause blackouts, which means John could do stuff that he wouldn’t be able to remember after. As Marilyn insisted her husband’s innocence, John realised that the arsonist really was him, leaving him shattered. Later, he turned emotional as he apologised to Marilyn for putting her in harm’s way. He also deeply regretted having a hand on Billie’s death.
It was also an emotional day for Billie’s family and friends as they gathered for her memorial service. There wasn’t a dry eye as VJ and Ash delivered their heartfelt tributes for Billie and even more when Ash sang her favourite song. At the end of the service, Ash and VJ poured Billie’s ashes on to the ocean as she wished. Meanwhile, as much as Zac tried to comfort and give support to Leah, she kept pushing him away. Frustrated, Zac confronted her about it but she denied shutting him out. Feeling completely alone, Zac went to Sam’s room to talk. However, things soon heated up between the two and they ended up kissing.
