Back to the Bay reports that on Wednesday, Tori struggles to make a choice between Nate and Riley. Justin, on the other hand, seems to have Nate’s vote – Tori’s brother is pissed that Riley’s in town. Meanwhile, Evie offers her assistance as Kat delves into the series of fires in Summer Bay.
Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the Feb. 8 episode on its official website. In the trailer, Tori confronts Nate about his feelings for her, but he says it doesn’t matter now because Riley’s there. Speaking of Riley, he corners Tori and confesses that he has never stopped loving her. Justin also figures in the clip, as he reminds Tori that Riley was a cheater. “If you’re going to give someone a chance, you might as well give it to another doctor,” Justin says.
The video also shows Alf, who promises Marilyn that they’ll get the man who started the fire. He reveals that the bushfire wasn’t an accident – it was arson. When she wonders who the culprit was, John looks extremely uncomfortable.
“Home and Away” recap
In the previous episode, Marilyn and John were horrified when Nate told them about their only chance to save her hand: leeches. Marilyn was beside herself as she and John discussed their last option. Despite her hesitations, they both decided it’s the best they could do. John stayed with her throughout the whole ordeal and they were both elated when Nate said that the procedure is working well.
Justin started to get to Phoebe’s nerves with all his demands. She confided in on Brody, saying that Justin, who used to be alpha-male, is now terribly clingy. Later, Brody told Justin to quit hassling Phoebe all the time and shape up. Justin got out of bed and apologised to Phoebe for being an annoying and demanding patient. The two made up and things seemed okay again between them.
Meanwhile, Olivia confronted Hunter after finding out that he’s planning of dropping out from school. She tried to convince him to change his mind, telling him about his great potential. Hunter, on the other hand, reminded her that they’re not together anymore so it’s none of her business. Later, Mason noticed that Olivia’s mind was somewhere else and realised it’s because of Hunter. Mason also told her that it’s not her problem anymore, commenting that it’s not her life to save her ex-boyfriend.
Wanting Olivia to stop being bothered, Mason talked to Hunter with good intentions. However, Mason called Hunter a loser and the two ended up fighting again until Alf intervened. Alf sat down with Hunter for a serious discussion, encouraging the young man to sort out his life. Alf’s pep talk seemed to have worked – Hunter went to the Morgans’ house and apologised to Mason. Hunter also told Mason and Olivia that after reconsidering his decision, he’ll be going back to school.
Sensing the awkwardness between Nate and Tori, Riley asked Nate if there’s something going on with him and Tori. Nate, however, gave a vague answer. When Riley asked Tori about it, she said they had a thing before but Nate called it off. Later, however, she was surprised to get Nate’s message – apparently, he wanted to get back together with her. She belatedly received the voicemail because her phone got lost. At the hospital, Riley approached Nate again, wanting to make sure there’s no unresolved feelings between him and Tori. Riley reminded Nate that they dated for a while and now he wants her back.
