Back to the Bay reports that Nate gets jealous when Tori and Duncan go out on a date. Meanwhile, things get hot and heavy between Justin and Phoebe, but it seems Brody is not happy about it at all. He warns them not to pursue anything. Elsewhere, Tabitha and Hunter clash and she manages to convince Olivia to stay away from him.
Seven Network posted a sneak peek of the July 28 episode. In the trailer, Hunter rudely talks to Tabitha about Olivia. “The only reason why she’s being nice to you is because she feels sorry for you,” Hunter says. “You’re her pathetic little project.” Tabitha flips things around and tells Olivia that Hunter has been saying mean things about her. Tabitha advises Olivia to avoid Hunter. Later, Irene reckons that Olivia’s new friend is a little too intense. Olivia comes to Tabitha’s defense, saying she’s just being protective.
The preview video also shows Justin passionately kissing Phoebe. However, their moment gets interrupted when Spike shows at the door, wondering why Justin is not answering his call.
“Home and Away” recap
On Wednesday, Kat had a meltdown at the beach and Ash tried to calm her down to no avail. A moment later, she seemed to be having an anxiety attack and she had trouble breathing. Ash drove her home and called Nate to check up on her. They talked about what triggered the attack, which was her discussion with Ash about her quitting her job. Nate asked to talk to Kat alone, and she opened to him about what she’s feeling. He figured out that whatever Kat was going through involved Ash, but she won’t say anything about that. Nate went to the garage to grill Ash, but the latter won’t spill anything either. Later, Kat told Ash that she can’t trust him anymore and ended things with him. Ash was beside himself – he can’t believe things would turn out like this.
Alf and Duncan went fishing together, and their bonding time resulted to something good: Alf invited his son to stay at his house. Duncan and Roo went to have some refreshments and they talked about his plans. Tori arrived and Roo noticed Duncan eyeing her. Roo left and Duncan approached Tori, and they discussed about their family issues. He invited her for a walk along the beach. They also talked about Nate, and she reckoned that he’s already happy with someone else. Duncan and Tori seemed to be hitting it off and growing closer by the minute.
At Alf’s, Duncan took a phone call and he seemed upset about it. Alf overheard him being abrasive and asked what that was all about. Duncan said he was just talking to his accountant, but Alf didn’t seem to buy it. Alf got his answers soon enough, when Caroline called the house. He confronted Duncan about what his ex-wife said: that he’s behind child support. Duncan denied this, and the two got into another heated argument again.
Meanwhile, Nate bumped into Tori at the café and they talked about Danika. Tori was surprised when Nate said he and Danika are not a couple yet, and that she’s not exactly his type. Nate said that he and Danika are just dating casually, and he admitted that it seemed to be a wrong decision on his part. It looked like there’s chance for Tori and Nate, after all. However, when Tori dropped by Salt for a drink, she bumped into Kat, who revealed that she and Nate had history. Kat also said that he cheated on her, and he did the same to his first wife. This made Tori have second thoughts about Nate again – she wondered whether she could trust Nate. Meanwhile, Nate talked to Danika and told her he’s not into casual dating. She figured out it’s because Nate likes Tori more than he’s letting on. Nate and Danika parted ways amicably.
Later, Nate saw Tori and almost came over to her, but saw Duncan approached her first. Duncan invited Tori for lunch and she accepted. They got into her car and Nate looked at them wistfully.
