‘Home and Away' spoilers for June 1: Billie’s past comes back to haunt her; Dom is torn between Phoebe and his wife

It’s all about dealing with the ghosts from the past on Wednesday’s episode of “Home and Away.” Despite her efforts to conceal her dirty little secrets, Billie Ashford (Tessa De Josselin) will soon find out that the truth has its sneaky way of coming out. Spoilers hint that she’ll do everything to make sure her dark past doesn’t ruin her future life on Summer Bay. Meanwhile, Dom Moran (Sam North) will struggle to keep his previous affairs from destroying what he has with Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo). As if things are not complicated enough, Dom’s ex-wife is showing no signs of letting their relationship go.

Back to the Bay reports that on Wednesday, Billie flirts with danger to make sure her secret stays safe. Phoebe, on the other hand, wants to know where she stands with Dom in terms of their relationship. Meanwhile, Roo is having a difficult time dealing with her fragile condition.

Seven Network posted a sneak peek for tonight’s episode. The scene opens with Phoebe telling Dom, “I thought we had something good.” Dom admits that he made a mistake and asks her to give him another shot. In another part of the video, Dom defiantly tells Tess that it’s over between them and that Phoebe is the woman in his life now. “It doesn’t have to be,” Tess says, “I want to be here.” She doesn’t want to believe that Dom has stopped loving her, and she places her hand on Dom’s.

At the beach, Alf calls out after Roo, who looks like she’s dangerously going to fall while crossing a ledge. Meanwhile, a girl approaches Billie and wonders if they know each other. Billie denies it, but a moment later, she rummages through the girl’s things and sees the girl’s ID. The stranger realises that she did meet Billie before.

The previous episode showed how Ricky got infuriated with Nate for missing their marriage counseling session. At home, Ricky lashed at him and said that he lied the last time when they were supposed to be house hunting. Nate insisted that he’s telling the truth this time, but Ricky won’t have any of it. “That’s the problem with a lie, I’m always going to be wondering when the next one is coming,” she said. Ricky also felt like there’s always something more important than the two of them. Nate said he’ll be heading out for a bit and went kayaking. At the beach, he ran into Tori and the two discussed about what happened at the hospital. Tori apologised for causing problems with Ricky. When she asked whether he and Ricky have made up, Nate said he’s giving her space. Tori said it may not be what Ricky wants. Later, Nate went home carrying flowers and chocolates for Ricky. She apologised for overreacting, and said she’s just scared that they’re slipping away from each other and that she wants to fix things before it gets worse. Nate agreed, and said he’ll call to reschedule a counseling session.

At Dom’s place, he and Phoebe could not get their hands off each other. Dom said he feels like a teenager again. The mood got killed, however, when they talked about exes. Phoebe wondered why they don’t talk about Dom’s ex. Later, Dom was taken aback when his ex, Tess, showed up at the café. It got awkward when Dom introduced Phoebe as his friend. Tess said she’s there to sort somethings out and may stay for a while. Once alone, Phoebe confronted Dom about his wife’s arrival. She wondered why Tess still called herself as his wife, and said she feels like she’s not getting the whole story. Dom, Tess and Bella shared a happy family moment at the beach and Phoebe looked at them wistfully. Afterwards, Dom went by Phoebe’s place and told her that Tess cheated on him 10 months ago. They tried to work things out, but he couldn’t get past it, so they decided to re-evaluate things while she was away. Phoebe reeled from what she heard, and could not believe that he hooked up with her while he’s still trying to work things out with his wife. Dom said he didn’t expect to meet someone as incredible as her. “I want to be with you,” Dom said, but Phoebe said she needs some time.

Elsewhere, Roo arranged a send-off party for Maddy and Matt. At one point, Evie saw Maddy hugging Alf and she walked off. Josh followed her, and she said that she’s losing her two best friends. She doesn’t want to say another goodbye. Evie made Josh promise that he won’t leave her, too. Josh hesitated at first, but then said he loves her and that he won’t leave her. While everyone was busy socialising, Maddy overheard Matt telling Ash that he’d stay there if only circumstances were different. She also saw Matt talking to Leah. Matt thanked Leah for always being there for him and for sticking by him, which no one has ever done. Matt said he’ll never forget her, and Leah replied that she’ll miss him so much. After the party, Maddy thanked Roo for everything she’s done and apologised for being horrible most of the time. The two turned emotional and they hugged. Once alone, Roo could not contain her emotions and cried her heart out. She then took out her bottle of pills but it’s empty.

In the morning when they’re supposed to leave, Maddy could not be found anywhere. Matt found a note and he ran off as soon as he looked at it. Roo read the note from Maddy, which said she had gone without him. “I’m sorry I had to do it this way, but I realised you’re not ready to leave the Bay,” Maddy wrote. “I couldn’t say goodbye because I know that you’d try to talk me out of it. You’ll get over it and you can’t don’t need anyone to change you. That’s what I’m trying to do by making you come with me. Nothing scared me as much as leaving you, but it’s time for me to be as strong as you showed me that I can be.” Maddy ended the note by saying they’ll see each other soon. She asked him to look after everyone for her.
