Home builders join forces for affordable housing campaign in Western Australia
Home builders have joined forces to offer affordable housing in eight Satterley estates across Western Australia.
The sale will include more than 700 affordable house and land packages in Dalyellup, offered at pre-boom prices. Dalyellup Beach Estate developer Satterley Property Group director Nigel Satterley said the campaign’s goal was to kick-start a softening real-estate market.
“People have been wary of interest rates and in all retail, as well as in land and housing, buyers have become gun shy,” Satterley said. “I am optimistic that this will act as a catalyst for resurgence across the property industry and motivate other developers to do the same.”
The campaign, dubbed The Lot, will give prospective first home buyers wary of rising prices the chance to own their own houses. “This is a brilliant offer in anyone’s language with our packages much cheaper than established homes,” he said. “It means that for the first time since before the record boom five years ago families have the chance of enjoying an acknowledged healthy, wholesome community lifestyle at pre-boom affordable prices.”
Buyers can avail of rebates, incentives and bonuses on housing. Moreover, Satterley is giving cash rebates worth as much as $10,000 in addition to landscaping and fencing incentives. Some of the seventeen builders joining the campaign will also offer perks like pools, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, home entertainment packages and air conditioning.
The Lot campaign begins this Saturday and will run until March 16.
