Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins had officially announced that the Honda NSX is coming to Australia.

"We are absolutely thrilled to announce today that the NSX is coming to our shores," Mr Collins said.

"It was a revolution when it was first launched back in 1990 and this generation aims even higher.

"The NSX has a rich history around the world and diehard fans of this supercar have been waiting a long time for the new model to come to production. We can't wait to offer this vehicle to our customers," according to Mr Collins.

The Honda NSX is a unique sportscar which steers clear of brute force with its all-aluminium monocoque body that brings a superior power-to-weight ratio and outstanding rigidity.

The Honda NSX is proud to employ the NSX Concept "man maximum, machine minimum". The concept uses lightweight materials and revolutionary design that allows the user to experience the best of driving.

The Honda NSX has super acceleration and fuel efficiency capacity. There is a mid-mounted V6 engine that works with an electric motor powering the rear wheels. There are two electric motors at the front of the vehicle which power each of the front wheels.

Honda began experimenting with a mid-mounted, rear-wheel drive format in 1984. Honda was amazed at the unique and thrilling handling of the car. At about the same period, Honda made its come back to Formula 1 and by 1985, the company began its development of the Honda NSX.

In 1989, the Honda NSx was tested at the Suzuka Circuit, and Honda had the opportunity to request Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna to drive the car.

"I'm not sure I can really give you the appropriate advice on a mass-production car, but I feel it's a little fragile," according to Mr Senna.

Humbly, Honda took Mr Senna's words. The development team for the Honds NSX moved to Germany and spent eight months doing all the necessary test and development for the car.

Hence, at present, the Honda NSX is a super hybrid car with both high-tech and high-performance attitude.
