Talia Castellano, the cancer-stricken YouTube vlogger who caught the attention of Ellen DeGeneres with her sunny personality, has passed away. She was first diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma at the age of seven. She was 13.

“#prayfortalia It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful light to heaven and please send your love and prayers to her family during this most difficult time,” her Facebook page reads.

“God speed little one, may you be free from pain and suffering, may your soul feel the light and love that you brought to so many of us on this Earth during the short time you were here with us. We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl.”

The inspirational teen became an Internet sensation when she shared her makeup tips and tricks as well as her reviews on cosmetic products on YouTube while fighting her disease. She got more than 750,000 subscribers and had over 15 million views to her almost 200 videos. She became so popular that Ellen invited her on her show in September, where the U.S. talk show host revealed that she was chosen to be an honorary CoverGirl.

Talia was given her own campaign photo by the cosmetics giant, along with makeup products and a check for $20,000.

“This year I met a very special girl, and today we lost her. Sending my heart to Talia’s family. I’m so sad,” Ellen wrote on her Twitter.

Ellen DeGeneres posted on Instagram, "Thinking of my friend."

In an interview with The Truth 365 in August 2012, Talia was asked how she would like to be remembered in a hundred years.

“In a hundred years I want people to remember me as the bubbly girl who wanted to do something about childhood cancer,” she answered.

Talia had three relapses since she was diagnosed with cancer on February 14, 2007. In August 2012, however, she announced that her cancer had spread to her bones and she had developed pre-leukemia.
