‘Horizon Zero Dawn’ preload, file size & other updates: Nora Machine-Trapper Pack & dynamic theme for players; PlayStation UK provides post-apocalyptic touch
Those who have already pre-ordered “Horizon Zero Dawn” can now preload the action RPG. The game is Sony’s next big PS4 exclusive and it’s arriving in the US on Feb. 28 and Europe on March 1. The file size is reportedly 39.485GB. Anyone pre-ordering a digital copy of the game from the PlayStation Store will receive the Nora Machine-Trapper Pack and a dynamic theme for the game. The pack comes with weapon mods that boost the damage as well as accuracy of the weapons being used as well as crafting resources.
According to Gear Nuke, the pre-load download starts automatically. If that does not happen, one can also download manually by going to the library and then selecting “Horizon Zero Dawn” from the purchased games. However, this method is reportedly working only for those who pre-ordered the game in the Asia/Hong Kong region. If this is true, the preload may not go live in Europe and North America until tomorrow. One of the most-discussed features of this Guerrilla Games title is its 4K visuals on the PS4 Pro.
The PlayStation Store digital copy of the “Horizon Zero Dawn” can be pre-ordered for US$59.99. According to GameSpot, the game is receiving a lot of praises and the website itself has given it a 9 out of 10. Sony had previously revealed that the game has all the potential to become a new franchise for the company and a SuperData report has given an expected units sales of six million copies by the end of this year. It has also provided a lifetime figure of eight million units. Such figures show the immense potential of the game despite being a brand-new franchise.
Meanwhile in UK, eight major cities have been given the “Horizon Zero Dawn” makeover to mark the game’s launch. VG 24/7 has shared the PlayStation UK images of the cities that have received the post-apocalyptic title treatment. The cities are London: Tower Bridge, Dublin: O’Connell Street, Edinburgh: Edinburgh Castle, Liverpool: Liver Building, Birmingham: Bull Ring, Cardiff: Millennium Stadium, Newcastle: Tyne Bridge and Manchester: The Beetham Building. It has been revealed that there is a “Death Stranding” Easter Egg in “Horizon Zero Dawn.”
A YouTuber, who goes by the name YongYea, has discovered the cool Easter Egg. Players will find a collectible in the game, whose thumbnail is the Kojima Productions logo. Stay tuned on IBT AU for more updates on “Horizon Zero Dawn.”
