The Host lead actor, Max Irons feels honored to be compared to one of Hollywood’s biggest actors today, Kristen Stewart’s British beau, Robert Pattinson. But Max politely dismiss any comparison, adding that he may not be able to handle the level of fame Rob has.

He is “no Robert Pattinson.” In an interview with Daily Mail, the boyish star who has been making noises in Hollywood, Irons insisted that he may not be as huge as Roberts’.

Admitting that there is certainly some factors common to his latest project, The Host and the box-office hit, Twilight, he noted that he can never be like Robert Pattinson.

“The Host is very much in the same vein as Twilight, and there’s clearly a huge fan base out there. But I can’t imagine myself being as huge as Robert Pattinson. I’m not sure I could handle that level of fame,” Max was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

And he got it all figure out as to how to avoid a “Robert Pattinson” fame.

He said, "I’ve learnt that from my parents. It’s the reason I won’t move to LA, and why I stay away from the party scene. The actors I respect are the ones who see it as a career and manage to live reasonably normal lives, like Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman.”

He added that he will not be overwhelmed by fame and will stay low-key as some of the stars who had managed to lead a normal life.

Max noted, “The moment you think of yourself as hot, you’re screwed.”

Now that’s a good plan. The 27-year-old star of Stephenie Meyer’s The Host is the son of English great actor, Jeremy Irons and Irish actress, Sinéad Cusack. That’s a good foundation to start a successful career in Hollywood.

Max is currently busy promoting The Host, which will hit theaters beginning March 29. He stars as Jared Howe in the science fiction film, adapted from the same author who wrote Twilight. Written and directed by Andrew Niccol, The Host also stars Saoirse Ronan and Jake Abel. Check out the official trailer in the video below.Click START to view SLIDESHOW.
