Do we see a hot new couple on the rise? Because it seems One Directioner Harry Styles is crushing on Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence--and he's practically announcing it to the world!

Appearing to be bitten by the love bug, Styles gushed about JLaw's acting skills in Silver Linings Playbook, where the blonde actress won an Academy Award for Best Actress.

"Just watched Silver Linings Playbook... I really liked it," tweeted Taylor Swift's former flame.

The 19-year-old singer also expressed his support to the beautiful star during Hollywood's big night, saying, "Jennifer Lawrence needs to win an Oscar tonight."

He reportedly fell in love with The Hunger Games heroine after her amusing acceptance speech that night.

"Harry likes goofy girls and thinks it's hilarious that she fell over as she went to accept her award for best actress. And obviously, like most men, he thinks she's drop-dead gorgeous," claimed Harry's close friend.

Known for her sense of humor and being extremely adorable, there's no wonder Styles (or perhaps any man, including Jack Nicholson, who hit on her after her Oscars win) would developed a crush on this gorgeous lady.

Other sources also claimed that the British boy band member had been chasing Lawrence for almost a year now.

Styles was interviewed months ago about his opinion on The Hunger Games, and it looks like he had been eyeing the beautiful actress even before. "The girl, the girl in it as hot as well," he said.

Fans of the possible new love team are lucky since both stars are newly single. Just this year, Styles broke up with Swift, while Lawrence recently split up with boyfriend of two years, Nicholas Hoult.

But whatever Styles decides to do next, he and Lawrence is a better match up than Jennifer and Nicholson, don't you think? Wink.
