"House of Cards" returns on Valentines Day, February 14, 2014, with Season 2. The first season of this Netflix original drama series captivated the audience and won critics' praise, as well. "House of Cards" Season 1 began on a note of Frank Underwood not getting the secretary of state job. The snub put Underwood on the revenge track, as he plotted a cunning, vicious political game to reach the top.

The Season 2 will see the result of that game. Underwood will be taking the oath of office as Vice President. At times, attaining power is easy but to retain it, is difficult. Underwood is likely to find that out soon after taking the oath. He will be facing the consequences of his past actions to reach the chair of Vice President.

Underwood had killed Peter Russo when he could no longer pull his strings. In the new extended promo of "House of Cards" Season 1, one can see Underwood saying to Claire, "Let's start this new chapter, with a clean slate." Russo's murder is going to be an indelible mark on that slate. Zoe has almost found out the truth that Russo did not commit suicide but was murdered. She is going to confront Underwood in Season 2.

The ring of political game has one rule, "hunt or be hunted." It is going to keep Underwood on his toes, as the claws will be out to take him down. Underwood is not someone who can be hunted. He will be hunting, for sure, to manipulate forces against him and perhaps, to get the President's chair.

All the episodes of "House of Cards" Season 2 will be available on Valentines Day. It might not be the right day to watch another round of political butchery. However, a marathon viewing is still possible if one thinks Underwood loves power, like a man loves a woman, which makes him commit the butchery. And, everything is fair in love and war.
