The second season of Netflix original series, "House of Cards," is currently in post-shooting phase. If one believes the subtle little hints dropped by the star-cast of this much acclaimed series, the second season will be one thrilling ride, with not a dull moment.

Talking about the upcoming season, Sakina Jaffrey, who plays the character of President's Chief of Staff Linda Vasquez, said "House of Cards" Season 2 is "surprisingly thrilling."

"I thought we'd have to keep the pace slow because it's so mind-boggling what happened last year, but it's just as crazy," Vasquez said, as quoted by International Digital Times.

Without revealing much about the new season of "House of Cards," Kate Mara, who portrays the role of Journalist Zoe Barnes, hinted that there will be no dull moment in Season 2 for her character. She said one word that cannot be associated with her character in both the seasons is "static."

"... one of the things in Season One and in Season Two, that [Zoe's] not static, she really grows a lot. Her morals are constantly - you question what she's really gonna do. And that continues on in the second season. It's never a boring moment."

As reported earlier, "House of Cards" has wrapped-up the filming of Season 2. Beau Willimon, creator of "House of Cards," had tweeted Nov. 08, 2012: "In 10 hours we'll finish filming and wrap Season 2 @HouseofCards. Thanx to @netflix." Later, he had tweeted "WRAP. 9:21 PM EST. Seas 2," confirming that the shooting for "House of Cards" Season 2 has finished.

There were reports that the season 2 might be the final season of "House of Cards." In a bid to squash the rumours, Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix, said that their intent is to keep the show going.

"It was a 26-episode commitment. It was not our intent that it would just run for two seasons," Sarandos said as quoted by USA Today.

Netflix has yet to officially announce that "House of Cards" has been renewed for Season 3.
