"House of Cards" has set a Valentine Date to return for its second season. Netflix recently announced that "House of Cards" Season 2 will premiere on February 14, 2014. The premiere on Valentine Date does not mean that the second season will be overflowing with love. The game of political one-upmanship, betrayal, smart, dark manoeuvres and throwing people under the bus will continue.

Frank Underwood and his wife, Claire, will carry on their game to rise to the top. The voice-over in the promo of the upcoming season says, "For those of us planning to the top of the food chain, there can't be, no mercy." Also, the promo clip says, "the road to power is paved with hypocrisy and causalities." One can expect to see more spilling of blood in season 2.

"The Underwood's must overcome these dangers -- past and present-- to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake," according to a brief synopsis.
