Netflix is set to release all the 13 episodes of "House of Cards" Season 3 on Feb. 27. It released the first official trailer of the new season on Jan. 11 at Golden Globes. It is an intense, intriguing trailer, providing a glimpse of what to expect from Season 3 of "House of Cards."

It is the beginning of a new chapter, with Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) as the 46th President of United States. The wicked Francis has tapped on the Machiavellian stratagem to rise to the top and stand behind the table at the highest office in U.S. It is expected that he will continue playing the conniving power game to stay at top and not let the ghosts of past return to destroy him.

"You want to know what takes real courage? Holding it all together when the stakes are this high," the trailer opens with these lines from Francis. He is standing in the Oval Office. The 0.45 second trailer ends with Underwood saying, "We're survivors." He is replying to Claire Underwood's (Robin Wright) "We're murderers, Francis."

The Season 3 trailer indicates that Claire and Francis' relationship is going to be tested. The two seem to be moving in different directions. The trailer features Russian President and Francis' meeting. The former does not seem to be in a friendly mood. He looks reluctant to shake hands with the American President. but is later seen kissing Claire, infuriating his host. Netflix has set the trailer to the song "Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums" by A Perfect Circle.

"House of Cards" Season 2 finale saw Francis successfully plotting the downfall of President Walter (Michel Gill). At the end of the episode, Underwood was sworn in as the new President. The final scene was of President Underwood standing behind the Oval Office's Resolute desk and pounding his new ring on it.

Additionally at the Golden Globes, Spacey won the Best Actor in a TV Series -- Drama award for his performance in "House of Cards." He paid a moving tribute to the late filmmaker Stanley Kramer.
