"House of Cards" has picked Valentines Day, February 14, 2014, to return for its second season. However, the premiere on the day of love does not mean that the second season will shun dirty politics and embrace a red rose kind of love. Francis Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will return to begin his butchery, and this new season, he is going to get more dangerous.

Netflix has released a new teaser of the upcoming season. In this black and white clip, one can see Underwood sitting behind a desk, with his legs on the table. He is playing with an elastic band and perhaps contemplating his next move. This is the first of many teasers lined-up for release before the premiere of season 2.

"We created a slew of cinemagraph GIFS for Season 2 and I wanted to share this one with you first," said Beau Willimon, creator of "House of Cards," on Reddit. "Just a taste for now, but LOTS more to come, so keep your eyes peeled, your ears to the ground, and your smart-devices at your finger-tips."

It was reported earlier that Michael Gill, who plays President Garrett Walker, has been promoted as a series regular. Francis Underwood will finally get the Vice President position. The President is very much needed around so that Underwood can check-mate him, and occupy the ultimate chair.

Official Synopsis of "House of Cards" Season 2: "Frank Underwood has masterfully manoeuvred his way into the Vice Presidency, but his ascension faces threats on all fronts. Investigative reporter Zoe Barnes is inching closer to the truth about Frank and Peter Russo and will stop at nothing to break the story. And Frank's wife Claire, the newly appointed Second Lady, must deal with the bright glare of the spotlight and how the intense scrutiny eats away at their once private existence."

The first season of "House of Cards" has won both the love of the critics and viewers. Netflix has added a director's commentary track to the first season. This bonus is a Netflix exclusive and is not available on the DVD or Blu-ray released.
