Todd Nester is not your ordinary 15-year-old. While his peers are trying out exploring to meet girls his age or going on adventures with friends, Todd is trying to change his life at such a young age by shedding some pounds from the 112-kg recorded weight when he joined Australia’s ‘The Biggest Loser.’

With his Dad, 52-year-old Gerald Nester, Todd embarked on an extraordinary journey of changing his life “for the better” with his great hopes to lose weight at 15.

"I just want a new life and a new future for myself," Todd said in an interview with news.com.au.

In an interview with news.com.au for Channel Ten’s reality show, Todd opened up how bullying has affected him for years and he intends to put a stop to his life-long struggle by joining to Australia’s “Biggest Loser.”

Youngest Contestant for "The Biggest Loser"

Recalling the pain of being heavy, Todd shared how he dreaded to “wear school uniform” and be seen by his classmates.

"My life basically was, I go to school, get bullied, come home. There wasn't a class that I went into that I didn't get bullied. I got king hit from behind and got into fights and then I went home and the only way I could overcome that and not get upset was to eat. It was basically comfort eating,” Todd said.

The teen’s struggle is shared by his Dad who had teamed up with him for the show.

"It rips you up, it really does as a dad. I'm fully to blame for that," the 52-year-old father of ‘Loser’ youngest contestant told news.com.au.

"Todd used to get bullied at school a lot, he got knocked out from behind and he didn't even know who the kids were. There’s been a lot of ugly things that have happened in Todd's life and as a dad you want to try to fix it. He'd come home and feel sad and down in the dumps and as a father the only way I knew how to fix it was to make him happy and the way to make him happy was to let him eat. I know if I hadn’t have done that, it would’ve been a much better situation."

When he succeeds (and Todd plans to do just that) the teen shared his plans during and after the show.

"I told my best mates (that I was going on the show) and they were cool with it and I said ‘whatever happens after the show, I still want to be best friends with you guys’ and they said ‘yeah that's going to be fine Todd and yeah you'll look different when you come back but you'll still be the same,’" Todd asserted in the interview.

“I feel like I've grown heaps, I'm a different boy now.”

Not only Todd will experience a great difference in their lives but also other contestants on Australia;s The Biggest Loser: Next Generation that begins March 17, 2013, 6:45pm AEDT, Channel Ten.
