The very much expected good news is here. ABC has renewed "Scandal" for Season 4. In the U.S., it gets a new time slot, as it will be making way for its creator's new show "How to Get Away with Murder." This fall "Scandal" is scheduled to air an hour earlier than its usual time.

Rhimes is the executive producer of "How to Get Away with Murder." This new show features Viola Davis as a brilliant, charismatic and seductive professor called Professor Annalise Keating. According to the synopsis of the show, Keating gets entangled with four law students from her class. These four law students will find themselves applying what they learned to real life, after they commit a murder. The synopsis of the show calls "How to Get Away with Murder" a "masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller."

Meanwhile, as reported previously, "Scandal" is likely to shoot some scenes of the premiere episode in Washington, D.C. The filming of "Scandal" takes place in Los Angeles.

Columbus Short will not be returning to reprise his role of Harrison Wright. There were rumours that there will be recasting for the character of Harrison. Deadline had reported that Eric West will be seen as Harrison when "Scandal" returns for Season 4. Rhimes was quick to rubbish the rumours on Twitter.

"I've never heard of Eric West," Rhimes said on Twitter. "Harrison is not being recast EVER. How about reporters CHECK THEIR SOURCES before running with a story?" Afterwards, she tweeted, "Um, @Deadline? Handle yourself."

"Scandal" Season 3 wrapped up with multiple cliff-hangers, including Olivia getting on a plane, with the intention to fly to an undisclosed location. The upcoming new season promises to be dramatic, intense and thrilling. It will be interesting to see why and how Olivia returns and what will Fitz do once he finds out that Olivia has left. Since Short is not returning, it can be said that Tom killed Harrison.

The highlight of "Scandal" Season 3 is likely to be Olivia discovering that Rowan had ordered the killing of Fitz's son Jerry.
