Seven seasons will soon be completed, but is Ted Mosby anywhere near completing his love story on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother?

Season 7 kicked off with a scene from Barney Stinson's future wedding. The season finale is expected to show what happened next in this future wedding, and viewers will find out Barney's "lucky bride." CBS has built up more suspense by not airing a new episode on Monday night (US time), merely a week before the season finale.

Seven years into the show, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor), Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) have all been through many ups and downs together as they continue to figure out what they want to do with their lives, and who they want to spend the rest of their lives with -- for better or for worse. This season has been paving the way for the biggest changes in the lives of the main characters, but the audience remains clueless on who the "mother" really is. The show's fans, however, know very well that Ted met the love of his life in Barney's wedding.

Reports have surfaced that HIMYM is on to its final season, so there are definitely many things to look forward to in this second-to-the-last finale of the show.

Aside from Barney's future wedding, some of the most important highlights of HIMYM Season 7 include Robin's relationship with her former therapist, her discovery of her medical condition, as well as her feelings for Barney. Lily and Marshall move to the suburbs and then move back to their "first home," they get pregnant, and they will soon seen their baby. Barney falls for Robin's friend, tries to win Robin back, and then he falls for a stripper. Who will he marry? Ted, meanwhile, tries to keep his positivity alive through many failed dates, including the epic fail that was with guest star Katie Holmes, the slutty pumpkin. In the episodes leading to the season finale, he discovers he still loves Robin. But she maintains she does not feel the same. So. who is the mother, Ted?

HIMYM season finale will be a 2-hour episode, titled "The Magician's Code Part One" and "The Magician's Code Part Two."
