"How I Met Your Mother" Season 8 could have another guest from the defunct teen series Dawson's Creek - someone who has recently been seen in "My Week with Marilyn."

HIMYM fans have seen photos of Jason Segel and Dawson's alum Michelle Williams making the rounds in social networks. The couple has been snapped many times looking very comfortable with each other. In quite a number of photos, they are joined by Williams' daughter with the late Heath Ledger, 6-year-old Matilda.

In Season 7, HIMYM show runners surprised everyone when they got 'Joey Potter,' Katie Holmes, to play the part of 'Slutty Pumpkin.' Holmes took the role of Ted Mosby's one-who-got-away-for-six-years. It was a hit episode.

Prior to that, 'Dawson' himself, James Van Der Beek was seen in Season 3 as Robin Scherbatsky's young love.

The question now is: Would 'Marshall' invite Williams to make a guest appearance in his hit sitcom?

Segel and Williams met through a common pal, another Dawson's alum, Busy Phillips. She was a series regular in the last two seasons of Dawson's Creek.

Several photos of Segel and Williams are circulating on the web, with many fans celebrating the couple's newfound love.

E! reported in March that Segel had deleted a meaningful tweet pertaining to his love life.

"If I fell in love would you guys be happy?" Segel tweeted early in March. He got a lot of positive replies.

"We don't even know each other and you guys want me to be happy," he tweeted again. Segel had since deleted both tweets.

Last week, while Michelle Williams was at the Comic-Con in San Diego, Segel was photographed bonding with Matilda in New York. Williams is currently promoting "Oz: The Great and Powerful."
