How I Met Your Mother Season 8 finale is expected to dish a major cliffhanger that could probably annoy some longtime series fans. But then again, this finale is leading up to the series ending, and so all will be forgiven in the end. One of the possible cliffhangers is another Ted Mosby and Robin Scherbatsky moment. HIMYM writers are simply not done with them yet, are they?

Or there will be a wedding, but the ceremony itself ends in a cliffhanger. After last week's Central Park scene, it is obvious Ted is still carrying a torch for Robin.

From the pilot episode of "How I Met Your Mother," it has been established that Ted and Robin are a mismatch. But Ted just wouldn't give up, even if he's said over a dozen times that he's letting her go. 5. Robin likes Ted, but she's never seen a future with him. When Ted was about to marry Stella, Robin couldn't support him not because she wanted to take Stella's place. She merely wanted a better "happy ending" for him.
