"How I Met Your Mother" Season 9, Episode 15 ("Unpause") begins the final nine episodes of the hit CBS sitcom - the last being an hour-long finale. Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders) might meet the mother (Cristin Milioti) in this week's new episode. Meanwhile, Neil Patrick Harris got the series finale details from the show's creators. And he's got a few lines to tease the fans.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains minor spoilers on How I Met Your Mother 9x15, the episode airing before the 200th episode of the comedy series.

It was earlier reported the final season of How I Met Your Mother will be served in 24 episodes. Now the latest spoilers reveal the series finale will be a 1-hr special titled, "Last Forever."

Episode 9x16, which airs Jan. 27 marks the 200th episode of How I Met Your Mother. It is called, "How Your Mother Met Me." This is a Cristin Milioti special. HIMYM co-creator Craig Thomas said Milioti deserves an Emmy for her must-watch performance here.

Spoilers released months ago said Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby will be the last among the gang to meet the mother. Now if the future Mrs Mosby is dishing her part of the story next week, HIMYM 9x15 could very well be about how Robin Scherbatsky met the still-unnamed mother. Unless the series goes for a flashback for that destined meeting later on.

TVLine.com released the scoop that the Mosby kids will be named in How I Met Your Mother 9x15, aka "Unpause." In this episode, "viewers will finally learn the names of Ted and The Mother's son and daughter (played by David Henrie and Lyndsy Fonseca, respectively)," reports Michael Ausiello. No mention of meeting Robin there, but it won't be surprising if it does unfold this week.

Fans learned back in HIMYM Season 1 that Ted wants to name his kids Luke and Leia (from the "Star Wars" franchise). Did he really go for it?

"Unpause" is a thing between Lily (Alyson Hannigan) and Marshall (Jason Segel). The two will tackle the judgeship and Rome issues. Anything Ted Mosby related could intertwine with this. Just as much as anything with connection to Cristin Milioti could also pop up.

David Henrie and Lyndsy Fonseca have filmed their scenes for the How I Met Your Mother series finale - eight years ago, according to reports. The showrunners deemed it smart to film way ahead of time and make the actors sign a non-disclosure. This way, their looks don't show significant aging from the time dad's storytelling started in 2005.

Neil Patrick Harris, who plays the "legendary" Barney Stinson, has been quoted by various media as saying the HIMYM series finale is "more complicated" than viewers would anticipate. The ending is not likely to disappoint fans, he adds.

This news.com.au report says NPH cornered the showrunners to reveal to him the HIMYM ending.
