In How I Met Your Mother Season 7, Episode 17 ("No Pressure"), viewers learn that Marshall and Lily have an ongoing bet involving Ted and Robin. Marshall bets Ted ends up with Robin. Lily bets their best friends aren't going to make it. Barney finds out about the "longterm bets" when sleuthing for sex tape in the Eriksen's suburbs home. In this HIMYM episode, Future Ted imagines coming up to his future wife's apartment and being knocked out by her Wall St boyfriend. But before he gets sucker punched, Ted tells the mother he would do anything to spend 45 more days with her. This sparked speculations that Ted Mosby eventually becomes a widower. So does the mother die, making Marshall win the bet?

How I Met Your Mother Season 9 spoilers include a wedding, a divorce, and a death at the wedding. The HIMYM premiere will set the non-linear treatment for the entire final season, which is framed by Robin's and Barney's wedding. Avid fans know the mother and Ted meet at the wedding, so who dies?
