How I Met Your Mother Spoilers: Just a Couple of Episodes Before the Finale

How I Met Your Mother Season 8 is "weeks away" from the Barney-Robin wedding. Episode 19, "The Fortress," builds up some excitement for the eventful wedding that will lead into the final chapter of Ted Mosby's search for "The One." The wedding is getting so close, that Robin has decided to give up her apartment and move in at Barney's "bang pad" (as Robin calls the place).

How I Met Your Mother was supposed to return from hiatus with an episode featuring a time traveling adventure. But Monday's "The Fortress" episode may have been prioritized to bring up some discussion on the season's major highlight, the wedding of Barney and Robin. It can be presumed that next week's episode, "The Time Travelers," will not have much on the wedding. It will be the chill-before-the-shockers installment. After all, there are only 4-5 episodes left this season. Next year, viewers will see the last of the hit CBS sitcom.

E! Online dished some spoilers for an upcoming HIMYM episode involving Barney and his future dad-in-law. "Barney and his father-in-law-to-be will be going head to head toward the end of the season in ultimate laser tag showdown," E! reported. Now that's something to look forward to. Some dads can be emotional-crazy as their darling daughter's wedding draw near. Is Robin's dad one of them?

Also happening later in the sitcom is Barney's bachelor party. There's a lot to look forward to that episode. It's the end of an era for Barney Stinson. As this develops, Ted Mosby gets closer to meeting the mother.
