When it comes to celebrity divorces, it's the famous star’s wallet that usually takes the hardest hit. For some famous actors and athletes, the cost of child support payments could run from hundreds of dollars to millions every year.

Here, we take a look at seven celebrities with the most expensive child support payments.

First on the list is the former professional baseball player and television analyst Alex Rodriguez.

Rodriguez has a net worth of $350 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Since 2008, he has been paying $115,000 per month in child and spousal support to his former wife, Cynthia Scurtis.

But in October 2018, Rodriguez asked the court to lower his monthly dues, saying his earnings got reduced.

Rodriguez was willing to pay $20,000 a month for his daughters Natasha and Ella, even though their expenses were between $7,000 and $12,000 a month. But Scurtis reportedly wanted that number closer to $50,000 a month.

Rodriguez and Scurtis might have reached an agreement, but this was not made public.

Actor Charlie Sheen was initially paying $55,000 a month in support for his two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards, but the latter later agreed to a reduction of the payments to $22,000 a month.

In 2019, People obtained court documents in which Richards alleged that Sheen owed her $450,000 in child support.

Aside from paying child support for the children he shares with Richards, Sheen reportedly pays $55,000 in support for his twins with his other ex, Brooke Mueller.

American-Canadian actor Brendan Fraser was ordered by the court to pay $75,000 a month in child support for his three kids with his ex-wife Afton Smith following their divorce in 2007 after nine years of marriage.

In 2013, Fraser went to court to try and lower the $75,000 a month, saying he could no longer afford it.

Rapper Nas and singer Kelis married in 2005 and split in 2009 when the latter was seven months pregnant with their son Knight.

In 2019, a judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis $51,000 monthly child support. Before the ruling, the rapper paid Kelis nearly $40,000 a month.

Actor Eddie Murphy reportedly pays $50,000 in child support for Angel, the daughter he shares with Spice Girl Melanie “Mel B” Brown.

Actor Tom Cruise, who has a net worth of $600 million, reportedly pays 48,300 a month to Katie Holmes in child support for their daughter Suri. He is also required to pay for Suri's expenses, including medical, dental, insurance and education, among others. The payments end in 2024 when Suri turns 18.

Francois-Henri Pinault, the chairman of luxury group Kering, which owns fashion brands Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and Gucci, was asked to pay $46,000 a month to his ex, model Linda Evangelista, in child support for their son Augie.

After a bitter battle in 2012, the two settled for an undisclosed amount. It was rumored to be close to Evangelista's asking price. Pinault then went on to marry Salma Hayek, with whom he has a daughter named Valentina.
