How to Update Your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Pre-Release Official Firmware
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona and it features 8.0" of 1280 x 800 display screen, 5MP camera, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, TouchWiz Nature UX, S Pen and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, upgradable to Android 4.2.2. Now, the firmware is completely official and available for your device.
Android 4.2.2 Firmware Getting Ready from Samsung
Samsung clearly doing its best to release the latest Android 4.2.2 update for Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 8.0. Another leaked pre-release firmware version has been unveiled and it designed for Galaxy Note 8.0 running Android 4.2 with Galaxy S4 features which is expected to be released sometime between July and September 2013.

Pre-Release Android 4.2.2 for Galaxy Note 8.0
The South Korean tech giant didn't confirm when will exactly these updates are going to be released but Samsung is definitely making progress and keeps on leaking pre-releases including Galaxy Note 8.0 firmware.
Installation Procedure
1. Apply this pre-release firmware to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi variant.
2. Create a backup of all your personal settings and data files.
3. Make that the battery level is at least 50 per cent.
4. Enable USB debugging mode on your device.
5. Download the Pre-Release Android 4.2.2 Firmware to your computer.
6. Unzip the downloaded pre-release firmware to a new folder on your computer.
7. Launch the Odin tool from the zipped file.
8. Switch off your Galaxy Note 8.0.
9. Reboot into Recovery mode. Press and hold the Home + Power + Volume down keys.
10. Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable.
11. A blue sign should appear on the Odin tool indicating successful connection. Otherwise, install the USB drivers for Galaxy Note 8.0.
12. In the Odin tool, select the "Code_N5110XXCMG_2_1031850_REV01_user_low_ship.tar" to the "CODE" section.
13. Then add "CSC_OXA_N5110OXACMG2_1031850_REV01_user_mid_noship.tar" to the "CSC" section.
14. Now add "kona_wifi.pit" to the "PIT" section.
15. Tick "re-partition" in the Odin tool.
16. Select the "Start" button and wait till the process is completed.
17. Once the flashing is complete, the device will restart on its own then disconnect the device after it reaches the home screen.
Congratulations! You have updated your Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean using the pre-release firmware from Samsung.
If you encounter boot loop issues, boot the device into Recovery mode and select "wipe data/factory reset" to solve the problem.
