The Beats Electronics may have recently bought out of the deal with Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC but the two companies will continue to work together for upcoming devices. One of them appears to be the HTC One Max phablet that will include Beats Audio with a rumoured unveiling date on October 15.

Luke Wood, the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Beats Electronics, confirmed in an interview with Stuff that the upcoming "large-format" HTC device will still feature the Beats Audio despite the recent split between the two companies.

Mr Wood stated: "They still have a 25 percent investment in the company, and additionally we still have a commercial deal with them, around the HTC One and several new devices coming out this fall. We have a large-format HTC device out in the fall. I don't even know if they've announced it yet - so we're still on that device."

Furthermore, the Beats Electronics executive refused to give any comment regarding the future relationship between the two companies, but offered kind words to HTC instead. "We learned a lot of great things with HTC. Right now I can't comment as to whether that relationship will continue or not continue, but for Beats, it's been very productive, because we've done a lot of work on HTC phones and I'm very proud of the way those devices sound," Luke Wood shared.

The HTC One Max is reportedly set to be officially unveiled on Tuesday, October 15. Expected features and specs for the new HTC device include the 5.9-inch Full HD screen with 1080p display resolution, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, HTC Sense 5.5, the availability of a microSD card slot and an UltraPixel camera that has the HTC Zoe feature and access to the HTC BlinkFeed service. Another rumoured feature of the HTC One Max is the fingerprint scanner comparable to the one found on the iPhone 5S.

HTC has not given any statement yet to confirm or deny the circulating reports on the HTC One Max. In terms of pricing and availability, the Gotta Be Mobile report claims the new HTC device will arrive at all four major carriers with a lower pricing scheme of $249 compared to the rival Samsung Galaxy Note 3 that costs $299 on a two-year contract.
