Chances of the HTC One Nexus Edition arrival have been refuted. Taiwanese smart phone manufacturer HTC denied that they have no plans for the HTC One Nexus Edition to arrive at the Google Play Store in June while the Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition does.

Google officially announced at the May 2013 Google I/O event that they will be supplying the Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition in the later part of June. The announcement ignited speculations of HTC jumping in the bandwagon but an unnamed spokesperson for the company immediately dismissed the reports.

"HTC is not currently planning a 'Nexus Edition' of the HTC One," the Senior Global Online Communications Manager declared in a statement. With some comments posted at SlashGear, an HTC employee confirmed as well that the company is not currently working on the HTC One Nexus Edition with the vanilla Android software.

The Samsung smart phone with Google will have similar features and specs with the conventional Samsung Galaxy S4 like the 5-inch screen display with 1080p resolution and 13MP camera in a slim and light design. The new smart phone version will be available unlocked at the AT&T and T-Mobile networks with 4G LTE support.

However, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition will not include the TouchWiz and other software modifications that the South Korean technology giant developed. Developers with the aimed market as well as the groups willing to go with the $649 pricing scheme will get hold of the unlocked 16GB smart phone with the unlocked bootloader which Google is assigned to in prompting the Android OS updates.

Samsung's smart phone hardware may be sufficient in diverting the attention of developers from the Google-LG Nexus 4 with remarkable features, specifications and price. Another feature that the Nexus 4 has and the Samsung Galaxy S4 does not is the stock Android software where Google can provide speedy Android updates.
