HTC One X: AT&T Confirms Rolling Out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update for the Smart Phone
AT&T will begin rolling out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update for the HTC One X smart phones. The good news has been confirmed on Thursday, March 7, with AT&T's assurance that the update will offer the device enthusiasts a better smart phone experience.
The HTC One X smart phone users can check the update manually through Wi-Fi network connection. First, choose Applications > Settings > About Phone > Check for Update. Then, follow the steps indicated to install the Android update.
AT&T's HTC One X Android 4.1 update offers a number of features such as enhanced notifications, the capacity to read full text through the "notification window," the latest countdown timer and One X'ers Google Now which provides significant information on weather, flight information and package tracking data in just a single swipe.
The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update can execute changes as well to the notification display so that HTC One X users can maximize or minimize notifications. The event notification display will allow the users to easily view the information about their schedules or meetings without the need of opening an application. Furthermore, the latest countdown timer is incorporated in the HTC One X's front-facing camera for self-photo imaging.
Android fans will just have to patiently wait for the arrival of the Jelly Bean update in other AT&T devices. "We're looking forward to rolling out Jelly Bean on more devices in the coming months, so stay tuned!" Mark Bridgwater, AT&T's senior product marketing manager, posted in a blog on Thursday.
Another Android update that is widely expected to arrive soon is the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Speculations are currently surrounding the creation and official launch of the upcoming Android update.
