In 2012, the HTC One X smartphone running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update and Sense 4+ was released. HTC One X owners are now excited with the recent reports emerging about the scheduled release of the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 update on their smart phone this summer.

HTC introduced last February a new Android skin called the HTC Sense 5 that will arrive and be available for the HTC smart phones like the One X, One S, One X+ and Butterfly. The HTC Sense 5 will be replacing the Sense 4+ bringing a new tiled look together with a couple of new features such as the HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe.

The company confirmed that HTC One X can be upgraded to the Sense 5 but immediately warned the users that they may not get a hold of some features. One feature that could possibly be not available is the HTC Zoe.

HTC Zoe is a Sense feature allowing the smart phone users to capture an image and a video simultaneously. The feature may no longer be included since big MP cameras create file sizes that are too big for storage.

What HTC did not confirm is the report on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 summer release. According to the Gotta Be Mobile report, a Twitter account with the username @LlabToofer is a reliable HTC source familiar with the company's plans on smart phone software updates and the reports about the upcoming release two remarkable updates came from the source.

It is definitely good news to hear about HTC's software upgrade plans for the One X smart phone. Furthermore, users will become more excited once the latest Android operating system is unveiled.

Google will reportedly announce the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie at the Google I/O even in May and there is a possibility that this update will be available to the HTC devices like the HTC One X.
