Human Doll, Valeria Lukyanova, On Her Music: Song Writing and Influences [PHOTOS and VIDEOS]
"Real life Barbie," Valeria Lukyanova, enjoys many things aside from perfecting her doll-like looks. On her spare time, she likes to sing, make music, and live an astral life.
The 21-year-old Ukrainian, who's famous for looking like a living Barbie doll, is in fact, a new age opera musician. In her interview with V Magazine, Valeria reveals her song writing process and how music has inspired her to do many things at a young age.
"I have written most of my songs during my astral travels or during meditation. This is also how I collaborate with other composers of new age music. They inspire me. My genre is new age opera." shares Lukyanova in the V Magazine interview. Lukyanova has a piercing high tone, that can usually be heard in classic opera pieces. But unlike usual opera singers, Valeria puts a twist to her gimmick. When she performs for her fans via her YouTube page, she makes sure she is wearing cut-off tank tops with her tiny waist exposed.
With her sense of fashion, and manner of speaking, it is quite obvious that Valeria has been living an esoteric life since she was a young girl. The human doll also tells how prolific meditation can be for her, as she is usually able to write a piece in one sitting.
"Sometimes I can write a piece in one breath, in as little as five minutes," proudly states Valeria in the same interview.
The human doll also revealed the musicians and artists that root her influence and admiration.
"I very much like singers like Emma Shapplin and Sarah Brightman. I also love bands such as Enigma, Era, Deep Forest, Ametistium, and Alexander Mogilko." said the human doll.
