After Lily Rabe and Julliane Moore join the cast of 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, there is another addition. According to Deadline.com, broadway-renowned actress Patina Miller has been roped in to play the part of 'Commando Pylor'.

Miller would be making her film debut with the Lionsgate YA franchise. Winner of Tony Award for the Best Actress in the musical, Miller is currently working in the 2013 revival of Pippin and the news is that for filming of "Hunger Games", she would not be leaving Pippin.

The role of Commando Pyler is demanding as she is the leader of rebels and is the first person,Katniss meets when she goes to District 8. In the book, Katniss Everdeen describes Pyler as a young to be a commander in her early thirties who has an authoritative tone in her voice that makes you feel [that] her appointment wasn't arbitrary.

Being a broadway musical actress and with no film experience; would Miller be able to bring authenticity to her part has Commando Pyler?

In Pippin, a musical is based on the novel of Roger O. Hirson by the same name, Miller plays the role of leader of the troupe. The film tells a story of mysterious performance troupe which is led by the Miller's characters. Through their performances they tell the story of Pippin.

In the movie Hunger Games, 'Commando Pylor' is a strong headed leader who later becomes the president of Panem. She is an authoritative character who later in the story saves Katniss from execution. She abolishes Hunger Games, destroys arena and sets up a republic. It will be interesting to see how Miller plays the part in the film. Also in the film Katniss played by Jennifer Lawrence has some interesting scenes to play with Miller's character. We hope that they both of them show some impressive act together.
