The hype and the hunger still continue for the highly anticipated release of the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins best-seller, "The Hunger Games." To fill in the growling stomachs of overly excited fans, Lionsgate releases a new still and this time it features the colorful and not to mention creepy looking Effie Trinket.

One of Hollywood's notable actresses managed to bag the role of Effie and she's none other than Elizabeth Banks. Though she bears absolutely no resemblance to the pompadour dressed in silk and powdered in purple and pink make up, Elizabeth truly manages to look exactly like Suzanne's description of Effie. Despite the intense make up and costuming required for her role, Banks fondly shares she's having more than enough fun on the set of Gary Ross's' film.

"A fun part of being an actor and a chameleon is taking on those looks," shared Banks in an interview with Huffington Post. "Effie has a really theatrical, over-the-top, completely not me look to her. I'm very excited for people to see my portrayal. I have no idea if people are going to be into it. I hope they are. I know the filmmakers are and [the book's author] Suzanne Collins blessed everything we did. It was a really fun collaboration between myself and Academy Award-nominated hair and makeup and costume people."

While her costume may be one attraction of the film, Jennifer Lawrence who plays Katniss Everdeen is also one to keep an eye on. The "Hunger Games" cast also include Australian actor Liam Hemsworth and actor Josh Hutcherson.

The widely acclaimed film adaptation is said to be released by March 23 but of course with the hunger for more increasing by the minute, Lionsgate has set an earlier sale of tickets for the film's release by February 22.

Though Banks isn't worried about her costume and her appearance on film, she's a bit worried about what the fans would say about the film once it hits the big screen. Being a fan of the books herself, the actress worries it might possibly fail expectations.

"I really don't want people to be disappointed - I'm a fan of the books myself, so of course I just want to be faithful and do right by her," says the actress in a post on Celebdirtylaundry.com. "But I loved Effie. I loved playing it, I loved how it came out, I'm really proud of it, so any of the haters, I'm just going to ignore."

Hopefully, Banks' performance along with the rest of the cast is good enough for fans of the book.
