‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ – Devastation In District 12 Revealed In New Trailer [Watch Video]

The devastation that the Capitol unleashes in District 12 was revealed in the new trailer of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1." Katniss Everdeen may be the only one who can inspire the nation to fight the Capitol. But is she ready?

Have the games that Katniss participated in destroyed her personality? The new trailer of the upcoming movie shows that some of the rebels trying to motivate Katniss to fight the Capitol vigorously by showing her what the Capitol has done to District 12, her home.

District 12, which was once home to many of Katniss' friends and family, is now in ruins. Building rubbles can be seen everywhere. There isn't a human being in sight. Will the sight of her district motivate her to take strong action against the Captiol?

A new propaganda video of the Capitol shows that the channel is coming up with a new TV show that focuses on making people take pride in their duties done in service of the Capitol. The five episode series trailer focuses on "loyal" citizens from different districts performing different labours.

Previous propaganda videos by Capitol TV featured President Snow addressing the people. He was seen extolling the system that was designed to feed the Capitol. He, however, warned that any resistance would mean starvation and bloodshed. Will President Snow be able to sway public opinion in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1"? Or will Katniss inspire the people to rebel?

One of the propaganda videos of Capitol gets hacked by Beetee, who was fighting alongside Katniss in the previous movie. The message of the pirate transmission from District 13 was that "the Mockingjay lives."

The trailers of the upcoming movie also show that Katniss' friend Peeta has switched sides and joined the Capitol. One of the trailers shows him demanding all the rebels to lay down their weapons. Katniss is later told in the video that Peeta is the Capitol's secret weapon, just as she is for the rebels.

Will Katniss be able to save Peeta from the clutches of the Capitol? What has made him to switch sides? The movie is slated to be released on Nov. 20, 2014 in Australia and New Zealand and on Nov 21 in Canada, UK and the U.S.
