‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1’ New Video Shows Peeta’s Interview With Caesar [Watch Video]
A new video from "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" shows a longer version of the interview of Peeta with Caesar. Fans of the franchise were earlier teased with a few seconds from the interview and the reaction of Katniss Everdeen. [Spoiler Alert]
The Capitol is busy spreading propaganda to the Districts. The ploy to have Katniss perish in "The Hunger Games" failed. But the circumstances of Katniss' escape from the games seem to have been hidden from the people in the Districts.
A new video of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" shows Caesar Flickerman conducting an interview with Peeta and asking him about the events of the previous games that he and Katniss were a part of. Peeta was assumed to be dead by Katniss, who is surprised to see him alive. But what is even more surprising is that he now appears to be working for the Capitol.
Caesar asks Peeta what really happened on the final "controversial night" in the Quarter Quell games. Peeta tells the viewers that in the games the players get only one wish and that wish is very costly. Katniss can only manage to say "you're alive" upon seeing her friend on TV.
Both Peeta and Katniss were part of the Quarter Quell games and worked as a team against life threatening situations. Every 25 years "The Hunger Games" unveils something called as the Quarter Quell. The rules for each Quarter Quell games have been written down many years ago in a sealed envelope.
Many suspect that the rules were changed to ensure Katniss participated in the previous games. But the survival and the rescue of Katniss Everdeen in the previous games marks the beginning of a rebellion against the oppressive Capitol and President Snow.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" is slated to be released on Nov 20, 2014 in Australia, U.K. and New Zealand. The movie will be released on Nov 21 in the U.S. and Canada.
