'Hunger Games' Sequel: Who Should Play Finnick Odair in 'Catching Fire'? [PHOTOS]
The "Hunger Games" hype is far from over. In fact, fans are already dying to hear who is set to play another lead role in the sequel "Catching Fire".
Readers of Suzanne Collins best-selling novels are on their toes and just about ready to plunge head first on news of who's set to play the handsome and daring, Finnick Odair. Take a look at a few Hollywood celebrities perfectly lined up for that role.
Director Gary Ross continues to stay mum about his actor choices for Finnick Odair who in the books is a 24-year old tan skinned and handsome young man with stunning sea-set green eyes and bronze hair. While a few young Hollywood celebrities fit the description, looks won't be the only thing Gary Ross is set out for.
"I mean, somewhere, I know it was in the press, I said I had an idea for Finnick Odair. But I don't really, You start to have ideas as you read, obviously I read the books several times, and I went, oh this guy might be good or that guy might be good. And then I made the terrible mistake of saying that to the press," shared Ross to which he added, "There will be a whole process. We're going to be very thorough."
While a few have already debated on Alex Pettyfer from "I Am Number Four" to play the part, fans and film critics still have their own "tributes" to share. Zac Efron may seem as an unlikely actor to play the part but given his film track record, he might have a slight chance.
Oscar nominee James Franco and Golden Globe nominee Jake Gyllenhaal are also up for the part as Odair. "On the Road's" Garrett Hedlund is also a big contender and the same goes for "The Social Network's'" Armie Hammer.
Television stars, Hunter Parrish, Chris Zylka of "The Secret Circle" and Grant Gustin of "Glee" are also a few worthy nominees for the highly-acclaimed part of District 4's Finnick Odair.
Singer and actor, Justin Timberlake may look a bit too old for the role of a 24-year old tribute but he's in a few debates over fans of who should play Finnick.
It's still a bit too early to decide who should play the handsome yet disturbed Finnick Odair. Given that the film comes out by November of next year, casting should start now for the filming of the Quarter Quell plus a whole lot more.
