‘Hunger Games’ star Liam Hemsworth and his ex-fiancée Miley Cyrus adopt dogs
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2” star Liam Hemsworth recently adopted a dog with the help of his former fiancée, Miley Cyrus. The two got engaged in June 2012 but broke up in September 2013.
On Saturday, Nov. 14, Hemsworth adopted a six-month-old puppy from an animal rescue organisation in Los Angeles, California called Wylder's Holistic Pet Center and Rescue. The organisation took to Instagram to share a photo of Hemsworth and the adopted puppy.
“Thanks @mileycyrus for loving dogs as much as we do!! You helped find this gigantic, 6-month-old puppy a new home,” Wylder's Holistic Pet Center and Rescue captioned Hemsworth’s photo with the puppy. “@liamhemsworth you will give this deserving baby a great life!”
On the same day, Cyrus also adopted a new puppy from The Bella Foundation in Oklahoma. She was with her friend Wayne Coyne.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also took to Instagram to reveal that the frontman for the Flaming Lips adopted a dog named Yogi. She captioned the photo with, “ Lovin Yogi PS dis bb izzzznt goin hommmme w me! He gonnnna live @waynecoyne5 and @katyweaver hizzzzzy! Him and I had a spesh connection from da first time we saw each othaaaa.”
Meanwhile, Hemsworth is set to reprise his role as Gale Hawthorne in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2.” Recently, Cyrus’ former fiancé talked about his relationship with his co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson Lawrence.
“We still see each other and we're in constant contact, so we don't miss each other yet,” Plymouth Herald quoted Hemsworth as saying. He added that he and his co-stars “had pre-separation anxiety.”
Along with Hemsworth, Lawrence and Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2” also stars Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore, Willow Shields, Elizabeth Banks and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, among others. The sci-fi sequel directed by Francis Lawrence will hit theatres in Australia on Thursday.
