'To infinity, and beyond!' That's what's most probably going on inside Leo Fernando's head when he accidentally fell from the open window of their bedroom, located 20 feet high above the ground, in their home in Devon, England.

His mother didn't expect she would still be able to see her little Leo alive after the incident and live to tell the tale. But she was nevertheless grateful her son lived through it all, still intact, will only a cut knee and bruised forehead.

"I was in the other room when I heard Antony screaming 'oh my God Leo's fallen out of the window.' I screamed too and I rushed to the garden. I didn't know what I'd find. I found Leo standing up with blood on his face and crying," the mother Emma Bowden said.

Ms Bowden believed Leo got the inspiration to test fly from his favorite Toy Story hero Buzz Lightyear. A fictional character in the 3-part movie Toy Story, Buzz is a space ranger hero and co-leader of Andy's Room, along with another fictional character, Woody. He is most known for his catchphrase 'To infinity, and beyond!'

Little Leo, all but 23 months old, was immediately rushed to hospital for the necessary X-rays, MRI scan as well as ultrasound checks. The results surprised not only his parents but medical authorities as well - no broken bones.

"The nurses said what saved his life was that he wasn't scared - and didn't stiffen up when he fell," Ms Bowden said. "He also bounced off the lower window sill, which broke his fall a bit."

If something really bad happened to young Leo, Ms Bowden might probably would never forgive herself. She admitted that the latch on the window of the upstairs bedroom where Leo flew had been off. But that was the only first time that they opened it since moving into that house six years ago.

"It was only open because it's been so hot."

Leo had been playing with his brother, Jayhan and father Antony, when he bolted towards the window.
