A new TV series is currently making the buzz. ABC2's I Rock shows the rich and thriving music industry in Australia.

The series follows indie band Boy Crazy Stacey as they make their way to achieving rock fame. It is a comedy about some lads who are very much interested in the Australian music scene.

I Rock stars Josh Maplestone, who plays frontman Nash Taylor and is also a co-writer of the series, Mark Pound, Pat Ommundson and Jeremy Keast.

Alison Bell also appears in the series as Jane, Nash's groupie ex-girlfriend.

Nash names his band "Boy Crazy Stacey" which is adapted from book number 8 of the Babysitters' Club by Ann M. Martin.

The main character is described to be an arrogant fellow who tries to hide his inner nerd by doing what it takes to enter the rock scene. When things go well, he can be funny and chraming, but he tends to be annoying when things are going the wrong way.

Despite Nash's huge ambitions for his band, he needs to improve his people skills.

I ROCK debuted last May 3 on ABC2.
