'I Think I Embody What A Miss International Should Be' - Miss U.S. International 2013 Andrea Neu [PHOTOS/ VIDEOS]
In the history of international beauty pageants, the U.S. has emerged as one of the most victorious nations in the record. It has placed third in ranking in the Miss International category in the Missosology BIG 4 Rankings, which is only a few points behind Venezuela and Japan. The U.S. has unprecedented success being the birthplace of this annual pageant.
Having two winners and two 1st runners-up between 1974 and 1980, the U.S. has the longest streak in the winner's circle -Top 5. Since 1991, the Americans have not exhibited their strong performance and were unable to place in the beauty pageant that they once dominated.
IThey only placed twice:
1. In 2004, 1st Runner-up finish
2. In 2012, Top 15 finish
In 2013, the statuesque and gorgeous representative of the state of Colorado in the annual Miss U.S. Andrea Neu "Miss American Beauty, " as they were once called in the Miss International system represented the country at the Miss International pageant.
Andrea Neu, Miss U.S. International recently graduated from a liberal arts college in Colorado, USA and she has earned a major in graphic design and a minor in marketing. She is blessed with a caring and supportive family which include her parents and two older sisters, Joshlyn and Lindsey.Both her sisrters are huge fan and friends of Neu.
She has been quite athletic and was a spirited figure skater. In summers she used to teach children life-saving swimming skills. Andrea has also worked as volunteer at animal shelters. She is aspiring to make a career in creative communications career.
"I think I embody what a Miss International should be. Miss International should be a respectful, gracious, and poised young lady who will lead by example the virtues that will help spread goodwill and understanding throughout the World. In my everyday life, I instinctively and naturally show benevolence and friendship through small acts of kindness to others. With the honor of being the next Miss International, I would demonstrate how we all can contribute in small ways to make big strides towards world peace," she said in an interview by missosology.org .
