'I Wanted To be Molested As a Child,' Brandi Glanville Shocks By Insensite Joke, Bashed By Critics
American television personality Brandi Glanville has shocked everyone. The 41-year-old "The Real Housewives" star says she "wanted to be molested as a child" and has disgusted everyone by her choice of words. Brandi uttered the tasteless joke with comedians Don Jamieson and Jim Florentine for her show, "Brandi Glanville Unfiltered."
Brandi, who has two sons Mason and Jake, referred to host Florentine's previous discussion which he had on the show where he discussed the ongoing child molestation that happened at his church during his childhood, according to RadarOnline.com.
"I was actually stalking you online, Jim, and we have something in common," she said. "I, too, wanted to be molested as a child and was passed up ... Well I was in Lutheran school ... My sister got felt up by my principal. Nothing for me. He didn't even look at me sideways ... I mean, now, looking back I'm super bummed. I was thinking, like, 'All this and nothing?' Super hot and they passed me up," Brandi made the shocking revelation.
This kind of insensitive joke about child-molestation is definitely not expected from a mother of two sons. Child molestation is a serious offence and should not be joked about. Brandi's extremely casual approach to sex abuse and child molestation also did not go well with advocacy group Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) who rightly believed that matters related to sexual abuse should not be taken casually or joked about.
"As any good parent would know, sexual abuse of children is nothing to laugh about. Sexual abuse should never be fodder for comedy," spokesperson Katherine Hull told FOX411.
People on Twitter were outraged at Brandi's insensitive remarks and wanted the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star to apologize for the same.
"I'm sorry if I offended anyone with @Mrjimflorentine @PodcastOne interview My show is a COMEDY based entertainment show for adults I'm sorry," Brandi apologized to everyone on Twitter.
What do you feel about Brandi's remarks? Do you think she should have said joked on a matter such as child abuse? Do let us know.
