Ian Somerhalder Attends 2013 BloodyCon in Germany, Shocked with 'Vampire Diaries' Co-Star's Arrest [PHOTOS]
Ian Somerhalder took a break from filming "The Anomaly" in London as he attended the 2013 BloodyCon on June 8 at the Swissotel Neuss in Germany. The heartthrob "Vampire Diaries" actor was joined with co-stars Paul Wesley, Malese Jow and David Anders to hang out with fans and answer questions.
While the cast of the successful TV series were busy during the weekend, Shannon Guess, a former co-star was arrested for getting involved with the ricin-filled letters sent to US President Barack Obama and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The 34-year-old actor found out about the news and he was shocked to find a photograph of him with the actress plastered on the front page of the New York Post.
Ian took to social networking site Twitter his reaction on the issue. "B-WTF?! Have I been living under a rock? How am I just finding out this is real??? Is this real? Insane! Thanks for using MY Photo NY Post, couldn't you have used a werewolf or something?! I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS! Mayor Bloomberg and President Obama are my friends..." the actor posted on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder along with the Instagram image link.
Afterwards, the actor calmed down when he got hold of the rest of the story. Ian posted a follow up Twitter message that reads: "Now i get it!!RT @PerezHilton: @iansomerhalder Vampire Diaries Actress Arrested In Connection To Obama Ricin Letters!"
Ian's busy work schedule and constant travel around the world keeps him from being updated with the events happening around him. For instance, Ian has revealed that he had no idea about his nomination on the Teen Choice Awards until he found out about it a couple of days later.
Proof of his hectic schedule was recently shared again to his followers on Twitter when Ian wrote that he is getting ready to resume filming in London. "Wheels down in London - getting ready for work on @TheAnomalyMovie. Have scenes with BRIAN COX-so cool... Good night beautiful world," Ian posted.
