Some "Delena" fans hoping for Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev to reunite got disappointed when the ex-couple spent their holiday break apart. However, the latest reports surrounding the "Vampire Diaries" stars claim the two will attend the 2014 People's Choice Awards together on Wednesday, Jan 8, at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

"Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder hit headlines when they split last year, but it seems like the couple may be getting ready to reunite at this year's People's Choice Awards, with both stars set to attend, alongside a whole host of other celebs," the Entertainmentwise.com report reads. Ian, 35, and Nina, 24, may have ended their romantic relationship but the two remained good friends and professionals as they portray on-screen couple Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries."

According to the Classicalite report, Ms Dobrev's love life has been a rollercoaster ride after being romantically linked to three men: ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, "Dancing with the Stars" pro Derek Hough and "Vampire Diaries" co-star Nathaniel Buzolic. The brunette actress spent her holiday break skiing with Derek Hough and a captured family video served as evidence of her stay.

The report further claimed that Ms Dobrev has been getting cozy as well with ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, igniting the reports about them rekindling their romantic relationship. However, actor Nathaniel Buzolic, another "TVD" co-star, popped up in Nina's life as a rumoured new beau after the two were recently spotted cozying up to each other while having dinner at the Barrio Chino restaurant in Sydney, Australia.

At the 2014 People's Choice Awards, the CW TV series "The Vampire Diaries," Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are nominated in four categories. "The Vampire Diaries" is up for the "Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show" award with stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev nominated as "Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor" and "Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress" awards, respectively.

The on-screen couple is nominated as well for the "Favorite On-Screen Chemistry" award.
