Actor Ian Somerhalder spent his weekend remembering an important event in his life and shared it to his millions of followers on Twitter. The "Vampire Diaries" star's tweet reveals ex Nina Dobrev was a part of that important event, is he missing the brunette beauty this love month?

The 35-year-old heartthrob actor posted the message during the 2014 Super Bowl event last Sunday, Feb. 2, on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder and it reads: "This time last year I was 9thRow 20yd line(thanks @ninadobrev ) sittin with my pop at the SUPER DOME-Its so much quieter in my bedroom."

According to the Examiner report, Ian Somerhalder spent the day with his dog and puppies at the park before heading back home to just watch the game on television. As for Nina Dobrev, she was out and having fun with friends like TVD co-star Candice Accola in New Jersey at the Super Bowl.

Ian's tweet garnered over 5,000 favorites from fans as well as retweets over 4,000 times. The fans rooting for the Nian or Nina-Ian couple to rekindle their romance gave their reactions to the actor's Twitter post. One fan even said, "Why don't you guys date again? You deserve all the happiness in the world!" one fan commented, Fashion&Style reports. Additonally, some fans found Ian's tweet while the others found it sad because the Nian relationship is over. Ian Somerhalder continued to tease the female fans on Twitter when he shared an image of himself with the caption that reads: "Will you be my Valentine??" Ian Somerhalder can be seen in the image wearing a black tee from his Ian Somerhalder Foundation (ISF) with the logo of two elephants making a heart shape with their trunks and a red heart as the background.

The Entertainmentwise.com report claims Ian's Valentine question has attracted again numerous reactions from fans with some funny comments like "Eat me" and "Sure baby." Fans can watch Ian Somerhalder portray bad boy vampire Damon Salvatore in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 and in his work for the new climate change documentary "Years of Living Dangerously" together with other famous Hollywood stars.
